Pardon the interruption, but I'm Mike Wilbon and Tony, I would have loved to have replied to your posts sooner, but I was too busy watching the BABY BULLS run their first round lead to 2-1 against an overmatched Bullets squad, AND watch my SAWKS, the WHITE ONES, go 2-1 and take the weekend series from the Tigers.

To answer your question, of COURSE I'd rather have Lu-Viz over washed up Roger Clemens. Clemens finally got his first loss against the CUBS, and is currently on pace for a .500 season.

Tony, you always say what? "You play to win the game." With that in mind, I don't see how in the world Phil Garner can continue to trot out Clemens every fifth day, especially with the race in the NL Central heating up the way it is. With the powerhouse Cardinals ace staff and the thumping lineup of MY CUBS beating a path down the Mississippi, there's no time, especially at this point in the season, to be leaning on the 42 year old right arm of a gifted, but tired horse.

I'd say it's time for GM Tim Purpurpura to blow the whole team up and start over, hopefully with a lineup made of 9 Craig Biggios -- Tony, he may be nearing the twilight of his career, but he still leads the League in dirty uniforms and even at his age, a team comprised of players like him would strike terror into the hearts of opposing managers. He plays the game the right way, and his gritty style would fit well in the doubles-friendly Minute Maid Park.
